EPIC hosts a variety of afternoon and evening social events and classes. Designed to meet diverse needs and interests, these events are open to the special needs community in North Alabama.
Dance with us!
Come join us for an evening of dancing and socializing. Not sure about dancing? We also have craft tables, photo props and snacks. You must RSVP to reserve your spot. All adults with special needs in north Alabama, family members and caregivers are welcome. Dances are free; donations are welcome.

Hangout nights
Just like it sounds . . . . Hangout Nights are for hanging out with friends. Activities vary . . . it might be bowling or board games, Legos, video games or something else, but it will always be fun. Watch this space for the next Hangout Night.

epic empowerment
EPIC Empowerment takes place on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It is designed for adults who are 18 years or older and who have a developmental disability. It provides a mix of:
- Educational activities
- Community Outreach
- Games
- Exercise, stretching & movement
- Music, and
- Arts & Crafts
The program also focuses on the 10 Core Life Skills:
- Creativity
- Problem Solving
- Communication
- Leadership
- Critical thinking
- Self-awareness
- Time management
- Coping with stress
- Assertiveness, and
- Empathy
WHEN: Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 1 pm. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: 8006 Old Madison Pike, Suite 20K (lower level)
Cost : $300 a month

Interested in trying something new? Past classes have offered crafting sessions, pottery, drama, Ultimate Frisbee, social skills, life skills, creative movement, ballroom dancing and more. Watch this space for future classes.
