In the spring of 2013, four moms in a parking lot were talking about the limited options for their young adults once they finished high school. They decided to hold a series of community meetings, asking other parents "What do we most need right now?" The overwhelming consensus was "Meaningful activities to fill their day." The moms formed a non-profit to address this issue and EPIC was born. Their vision? "Create a community environment for adults with developmental disabilities that fosters learning, friendships and personal development." With day programs, classes, "hang-out times" and other social events, that is what EPIC is all about.
